public art + installations

Intrigued by public art and how simple concepts can not only activate a space but also facilitate human interaction in uninhibited and unintimidating ways, while also inspiring the viewer to become the artist. The following installations are my exploration of this intrigue.

Brite Eyes Stitch Wall

A wall that promotes positive interaction, collaboration, and brings briteness to the space it’s in. The Brite Eyes Stitch Wall is a simple idea, a life-sized cross stitch board mounted on a frame. Guests are invited to interact with the board using the provided string however they desire. It’s one of those art pieces that draws attention and interest from all age groups. It facilitates interactions between strangers and friends alike. From Logan Square art galleries, shops, and parks to the Museum of Science and Industry to the Lincolnwood Library, this wall has popped up all around the Chicagoland area and beyond.

INTERACTIVE Truths WALL

A collection of thoughts, eye openers, and inspirations that I’ve journaled about throughout my journey to find the briteness within. Truths was an interactive piece featured at the Brite Eyes exhibit, Fluorescent City’s solo exhibit in October 2018. Attendees were invited to add theirs truths to the wall by writing on the pages.
